Just call me "Feng Le"
My friend Julie has given me a new nick name - Feng Le - which basically means crazy or nuts in Mandarin. Reason for giving me this name? Because I'm forever downloading, watching or talking about Korean dramas hahaha.
Why do I like Korean dramas so much? Well I've watched a few and I tend to prefer their romantic/comedy dramas because it always seems to have a nice blend of romance, comedy and drama to the story line - never too much of one thing. Another great thing about Korean dramas is that their actually more like mini series that last for like 16 - 20 episodes so it does get too draggy. My fave at the moment is "Full House" followed by "My Lovely Sam Soon". Will eventually do a separate entry on my love kdramas.
Korean dramas have pretty much taken over my free time these days hahaha. I've found a few good sites that offer links for downloading them and have been happily doing that. It's much easier for me (and cheaper) to do that then going out and buying them because it's not easy to find Korean dramas with English subtitles here - they normally only have Chinese subtitles. I normally download the vid files from the net while I'm in the office and then save the files on my trusty mp3 player (their normally wmv files which means they're only like about 100MB for each 1 hr episode - like 2 - 3 GB for the entire series) to transport home so that I can make my own dvd set hehehehe.
Well I'm off to download another series hahaha...got like 3 series already downloaded waiting to be burned onto dvd. I'm really glad I got that dvd burner when I did, I'm really making it worth my while having it - cost me only S$69 and it's a Sony one too.
If you're interesting in checking out a Kdrama as we call it then do check out this site
Idols Unlimited it's the best site I've found at the moment.
I've been listening to a lot of Kpop and Cpop lately but I'll go into more detail about that another time.
A&G Inter-department Bowling Tournament
My firm held it's annual inter-department last Saturday (Feb 25). My team, X-Bowlers, were the defending champions so of course we were there. There was only about 12 teams competing but we still had fun anyway. Lunch was provided too.
We had to bowl 3 games and each team had to have at least 1 female bowler. I was bowling with 3 of the guys from the Court section - Raziz, Zin and Razak. Same team as last year. This year I managed to walk away with 3 trophies!
I got a trophy for Highest Individual Game (Female) with a score of 181 in my final game (I plead that it was a major fluke), 2nd Place for Overall Female with a total score of 425 and my team won 2nd Place with a combined score of 1667. Razak from my team also managed to get 2nd Place for the Overall Men. All in, my team did pretty good.
Here's a pic of my trophies -
An extra hour to get to work...
I finally "strolled" into the office at 10 am - a whole hour late - but it wasn't my fault...The MRT aka our subway system, had a fault at one of the stations along the line I take and it caused everybody to back up. I eventually got off the train at Toa Payoh station (7 stations before the one I normally get off) and caught a bus to Lavendar where I got back on the train again (different line that wasn't effected). It actually took me about an hour to get from Admiralty (the station by my place) to Toa Payoh when normally that would take me like 20 mins!!!
Luckily my friend Julie happened to be caught on the same train as me so we met up at Toa Payoh and came in together.
Quick thing about my hiatus
Reason for the hiatus - I've been a little swamped with work and when I've not been working I've been "working" on my latest craze/obsession/whatever you wanna call it - watching Taiwanese/Korean/Japanese shows (will elaborate in another entry).
Will try to keep this blog updated on a fairly daily basis even if it's just an entry letting people know I'm still alive just busy hahahaha
