Postboxes - 4 more captured
Went down to Orchard on Wednesday to have dinner with Yass, Lien, Farah and Daniel...before meeting them though I managed to locate the 2 postboxes that are over by Somerset MRT station.
Met up with Terena in Orchard (the other end) for dinner yesterday and we located the 2 that were in the area.

I've been published!!
Yup you read right but before you go and get all excited...I didn't get paid for it and it's not an international publication let alone a national one hahahaha I got published in my firm's quarterly newsletter.
Basically what our Marketing team made me do was write about the firm's bowling tournament and well I decided to not make it boring and made it more like one of my blog entries lol...click to enlarge the image below to read my article...
Not your usual postbox
OK so I've seen a couple of these painted postboxes around town and I did some digging (or rather some websurfing) and I found out that there are supposed to be something 40 of them that were done as part of a competition. There were also 4 commissioned postboxes. You can get more info

So far I've come across 5 "stamped" postboxes, 2 of which are commissioned. One of these days I want to try and get all 44...maybe I'll get Yass to take time off with me so that we can photograph the remaining 39 boxes.

I won $20!!!!
I know it doesn't sound much but it's not easy hitting the lottery here. A couple of weeks ago I bought a ticket on a whim...bought a quick pick ticket ($2 and the system picks 4 sets of 6 numbers for you). As for the draw, well there's two held a week, one on Monday and one on Thrusday. There are 6 prize groups, and each prize group has a set requirement and prize value...such as....
Group 1 - match all 6 numbers and you get 33% of the prize pool
Group 2 - match 5 of the numbers + additional number, win 13% of the prize pool
Group 3 - match 5 numbers, win 13% of the prize pool
Group 4 - match 4 numbers + additional number, win 15% of the prize pool
Group 5 - match 4 numbers, win $30
Group 6 - match 3 numbers + additional number, win $20
As you can see, I got the group 6 prize, but hey it's better than nothing and I made 900% profit hahahaha. If only I could just get either a Group 1 or a Group 2 prize lol.
